Today, Belgium moved its COVID-19 patients, to neighbouring Germany through air ambulances.

The helicopter operator transports each COVID patient inside a giant transparent plastic bag connected to medical devices.

According to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, Belgium has the highest death tolls and infections.

Air ambulances began taking patients to Germany and transferred 15 so far.

Such trip to the German city of Muenster would take at least three hours by road, but can be done up to three times faster by air.
