Syrian President Bashar Al Assad and his spouse Asmaa Al Assad visited, Friday, the injured from Turkey and Syria devastating earthquake who receive treatment at Aleppo University Hospital, state-owned Syrian News Agency reported.
The photos depicted the President and the First Lady touring the hospital and chatting with some injured and their families.
The official website of the Syrian President confirmed the news, adding that this was the first announced official presidential visit to the earthquake site.
In the same context, the Syrian Cabinet declared, Friday, the sites of the earthquake as "areas of disaster" which means that they would receive more efforts from the authorities.
The rescue teams are still searching for the bodies of the victims or survivors under the rubble of the destroyed buildings by the earthquake.
