Barcelona players lifted the Spanish Super Cup trophy at Al Jawhara Stadium in Jeddah after defeating Real Madrid, with club president Joan Laporta joining the celebrations on the pitch.

The ceremony marked a memorable night for the Catalan club following a dramatic Clásico victory.

Barcelona were crowned Spanish Super Cup champions for the 16th time in their history after edging past their traditional rivals Real Madrid with a thrilling 3–2 win in the final of the 2025 edition of the tournament, held on Sunday evening in Saudi Arabia.

Contrary to expectations of a tense and cautious final, the match was open and chaotic, exposing clear defensive weaknesses on both sides.

Barcelona capitalized on Real Madrid’s repeated mistakes, as Brazilian winger Raphinha opened the scoring in the 36th minute with a powerful finish following a swift counterattack that beat Thibaut Courtois.

The closing moments of the first half saw a flurry of goals. Vinícius Júnior equalized for Real Madrid in stoppage time (45+2), only for Robert Lewandowski to restore Barcelona’s lead two minutes later.

Real Madrid responded immediately, with Gonzalo García scoring again in the 45+6 minute to level the match before halftime.

In the second half, Real Madrid struggled to regain their composure, while Barcelona took advantage of their opponents’ lack of organization.

Raphinha struck again in the 73rd minute, scoring his second goal of the match and the decisive third for Barcelona, sealing the title in a contest decided more by errors than dominance.
