The death toll in the twin suicide attack, which hit earlier today Thursday, a market in central Baghdad, rose to at least 28 dead, and 73 wounded, according to Iraqi military.
According to Iraqi police, two suicide attackers blew themselves up, using explosive vests, inside a crowded market in Tayaran Square.
An interior ministry spokesman expected the death toll to rise, as some wounded are in critical condition.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
