Avignon Terror: Attacker Belongs to Far-Right Movement

The terrorist who carried out the attack this morning, Thursday, in the French city of Avignon is believed to be a support of the far-right wing, according to various media means.

The attacker was killed by the police while he was carrying a dagger.

He is believed to have been a member of the far-right Génération identitaire movement.

"It's noteworthy that the French police shot dead a man in Montfavet, near the city of Avignon in southern France, after he had earlier threatened passersby with a handgun," police said, confirming media reports.
