On Saturday, Austria's Christoph Baumgartner scored the fastest international goal in history.
During his country team's friendly game against Slovakia, Baumgartner thrashed the nets of Slovakia 6 seconds after the beginning of the game.
The 24-year-old player received the ball, moving towards the nets of the Slovaks, passing through two players, before hitting the ball to the nets.
Baumgartner told ORF: “We’ve done this variation before, sprinting from kick-off at full risk. The sequence of steps somehow worked out so that I made the run,” adding: “Of course it’s really cool, I’m very happy. The fact that I hit it like that... it’s of course sensational.”
The player's record bet 2013 Lukas Podolski's record.
