The Australian government has announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth 20 million Australian dollars (around 12 million US dollars).
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese made the announcement on the social media platform Twitter.
Albanese announced that Australia will provide an additional $20 million in defense assistance to Ukraine, in the form of innovative and locally developed industrial equipment.
According to the Australian newspaper Canberra Times, the new aid package will include mine-clearance equipment, portable X-ray devices, a 3D metal printer, and anti-drone systems developed by Australian companies.
It was further explained that the government will also send a Royal Australian Air Force aircraft of the E-7A Wedgetail model to Germany to support international humanitarian and military assistance efforts in Ukraine.
