On Tuesday, a bus returning from a party collapsed outside the capital of Nepal, killing at least 17 and injuring 22 more, according to the police.
Police officer Chakra Raj Joshi stated that they were looking into the cause of the bus's collision with the rocky road's side wall but were unsure of the exact reason.
Police and military arrived to the crash site at Bethanchowk village, which is located about 48 kilometres (30 miles) east of the capital, Kathmandu, and assisted local villagers in rescuing the injured.
Twelve people were killed earlier on Monday when a car carrying people leaving a wedding in Nepal drove off a mountain route. There were no living people.
About 400 kilometres (250 miles) northwest of the capital, Kathmandu, the small passenger truck ran off the mountain road near the town of Chedagad because it was overloaded with passengers.
According to police, the disaster happened late on a Monday night, and by the time rescuers got there, eight people had already passed away. One person passed away in the hospital, while three more died en route.
The car tumbled down the mountainside 200 metres (650 feet) after driving off the road.
Poorly maintained roads and automobiles are frequently to fault for car accidents in Nepal's hilly region.
