At Least 2 Killed in Bangkok's Mall Shooting, Say Authorities

On Tuesday, a gunman opened fire inside a shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand, leaving three killed. 

Authorities said that a suspect was taken into custody after the incident.

A video uploaded on social media showed a boy in the custody of police. The authorities were cited by Thai media outlets, saying that police chief Torsak Sukvimol confirmed that the boy seems to be suffering from mental illness.

Torsak confirmed that two people were killed. One of the two victims was a visitor from China and the other was a Myanmar national. 

Previously, the Director of Bangkok's Erawan Emergency Medical Center Yutthana Sretthanan, said that three people were killed and six were injured. 

Police spokesman Archayon Kraithong told reporters the situation was under control.
