Aston Villa have completed on Wednesday the signing of Egypt’s Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet from Turkey’s Kasimpasa in a deal worth up to £8.75 million.
The 24-year-old midfielder played 71 games with Kasimpasa; he scored 25 goals and provided 18 assists. The former Al-Ahly Player will play alongside his fellow Ahmed El-Mohamady, who will play his third season with the Villans.
Trezeguet delivered an effective performance with the Pharaohs in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
He became the 12th Egyptian player joining the Premier League after Ahmed Hossam Mido, Ahmed Fathi, Hossam Ghaly, Mohamed Shawky, Amr Zaki, Ahmed Elmohamady, Gedo, Mohamed Salah, Mohamed Elneny, Ahmed Hegazi, and Ramadan Sobhi.
