Afghanistan's President Ashraf Ghani said that 300 to 400 people are being killed in the country every day during clashes erupted between the Taliban militants and the forces loyal to the government.
He criticized the escalating violence and condemned the negative consequences of the drastic situation that harms all.
The Afghani leader pointed out that his government did its best to bring peace to the country, but he claimed the Taliban movement continued using violence, urging the movement to participate in peace talks to avoid the country more devastation.
Ghani pointed out that the militants of the Taliban prolonged the civil war.
He inquired on behalf of whom the Taliban fight and who benefits if Afghanistan collapses and the countrymen murder each other.
On the other hand, the Taliban movement announced that over the last few weeks it is taking over many provinces across the country and seizing huge amounts of ammunition weaponry of the army.
The movement also declared captivating numbers of security personnel in some states after the withdrawal of the US units.
Fierce confrontations have broken out between the Taliban (in Pashtun dialect in means students of religious science).
Talks between the two sides failed to reach a permanent accord to cease the fire and mull over the political future of the country.
However, the Taliban revealed today, Saturday, that its militants seized more than 150 areas in most parts of the country as the US and the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) troops are continuing their withdrawal from the Afghani territories.
The movement issued a statement today that said that a big number of military bases of the enemy (implying the government forces) fell at the hand of its mujahedeen.
The statement indicated that the Islamic Principality ( the Taliban) in spite of the latest developments and its military superiority, still puts faith in dialog and understanding as the best methods to solve the Afghani cause.
