Artichokes have countless benefits. They are rich with various useful minerals and fibers for the human body such as Folate, Copper, Magnesium, Vitamin C, Niacin, Riboflavin, Potassium, Phosphorus, Vitamin B6, and Protein.
As we are in spring, the season of Artichokes, here are some golden tips for keeping your Artichokes fresh and preserving them by Ola El-Taweel.

First, of all, it is preferable to follow the traditional way to have the best cup-shaped Artichokes. It will make them perfect for fillings and cooking. Also, it will help to make the vegetables stand up in the tray without any spilled sauces or filling.
Make sure to top your Artichokes with sliced vegetables, cheese, or boiled carrot cubes. Do this step after filling the Artichokes.

Don't forget to boil the Artichokes before frying, baking, or adding it to salads or soups.
Add 2 tablespoons of flour, and lemon juice to the boiling water to preserve the original color of the Artichokes, without darkening.
You can preserve them with this liquid for a year, also you can use boiling water to cook a tasty soup or Gratin.
The stalks of the Artichokes should be peeled, cut into cubes, and boiled with the Artichokes.
