On Wednesday, it was reported that Arsenal reached an agreement in principle with Bologna for signing Italy's international Riccardo Calafiori.
Calafiori is set to undergo the medical check before officially signing a long-term contract with the Gunners.
The deal for the defender is estimated at £42m (€50m), and there is a possibility for Italy international defender to join Arsenal on their pre-season tour in the US if the transfer is finalized.
Several media outlets like Sky Sports News reported that there are various clubs interested in signing the defender like Juventus and Real Madrid. But Calafiori only wanted a move to Arsenal and gave his word he would join the Gunners. On the other hand, Bologna are now thinking of enhancing their defences by signing another defender, and some reports indicate that the Italians selected Al Ahly's Mohamed Abdelmonem as one of their summer transfer window options.
