Today, thousands of protesters stormed the streets of Yerevan, demanding the resignation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The demonstrators gathered for the fourth day in a row, calling for the prime minister to resign while chanting "Nicole is a traitor" and called for the annulment of the Karabakh agreement.

The representative of the opposition party, Armin Rostimian, stated that many of the organizers of the protests had been interrogated to prevent them from participating in the protests.

Police arrested several protesters, including a member of the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party, Armand Abovyan.

The protests began on Monday after Pashinyan signed the tripartite agreement with Russia and Azerbaijan to halt hostilities in Nagorno Karabakh region.

As per the terms of the peace agreement, Azerbaijan will control the lands it occupied during the recent battles, while Armenia will give up 3 more regions next month.

The agreement also states the deployment of about 2,000 Russian peacekeepers to guard the road linking the rest of Nagorny Karabakh with Armenia.
