The General Command of the Armed Forces, headed by Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki, sent on Friday a cable of greetings to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the anniversary of al-Israa and al-Miraj for the year of 1443 in the Islamic calendar.
This occasion refers to a miraculous journey that Prophet Muhammad took in one night from Mecca to Jerusalem and then an ascension to heavens.
In his cable, the defense minister voiced hope that Egypt would further enjoy security, stability and development, according to Military Spokesperson Colonel Gharib Abdel Hafiz.
He also sent greetings to the Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar, the Grand Mufti, the Minister of Religious Endowments and the Egyptian people
