Argentina to Face Guatemala Friendly Early Saturday

Argentina will face Guatemala in a friendly ahead with Copa America 2024 in US on June 21.

This tournament will be the first for Argentina since capturing the 2022 FIFA World Cup, in addition, they are Copa America title holders.

Argentina captured their 15th Copa America title in 2021 after defeating Brazil in the final 1-0.

Argentina started their preparations for the tournament by defeating Ecuador 1-0. The goal was scored by Angel Di Maria.

On Wednesday, Lionel Messi announced that he will not participate in the 2024 Paris Games with Argentina because he is no longer at an age where he can play in every tournament.

Messi is currently preparing for Argentina’s Copa America title defence.
