The Arab League has expressed its deep concern about the armed clashes that took place in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, which caused the death of civilian casualties.
Arab media quoted an official at the League's General Secretariat as calling for an immediate cessation of the violence, which may threaten the relative stability prevailed in the capital, Tripoli, during the past months.
The official urged all Libyan authorities to take measures to restore security, adding that clashes reaffirms the importance of accelerating the unification of state institutions and completing the transitional process through holding elections as soon as possible.
