The 2019 educational year has officially begun today the 22nd of September in the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in its new Alamein branch.
The year started in the colleges of Pharmacy and Dentistry in the academy, where Professor Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, the president of the academy, held a welcoming breakfast for students and faculty to celebrate the launching of the new branch. The breakfast celebration was attended by Eng. Osama Abdelghany, head of El-Alamein City, in addition to the faculty's prominent professors.
Prof. Abdel-Ghaffar expressed his joy because of the historic moment of opening one more major branch in the Academy; he credited the university's household name to its rich history which dates back to more than 45 years.
He revealed, "The Academy is working on providing international credits for its graduates such as (ABET - RIBA - ZEvA) to enable them to compete in the international market, pointing out that the Academy in its headquarters in the new Alamein will provide study in the fields of marine transport, engineering and technology, especially mechanics, energy, architecture and construction as well as in the field of pharmacy and dentistry, in addition to the field of administration.
The Academy will also provide advisory services in the region in various scientific and technical fields that characterize the academy locally and regionally, supporting the strategic activities of companies and institutions working on the reconstruction of the new city of El Alamein economically and industrially.
The area of the branch is 62 acres and includes 12 faculties and 34 buildings (colleges buildings - residence buildings - main building - creativity center - library - cafeterias).
