Lebanese President Michel Aoun and Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri discussed, in the Presidential Palace, on Friday afternoon, various points related to the government formation in a positive atmosphere.
The meeting did not result in a final settlement of the points related to the formation of the government; nonetheless, they stressed the need for more research, indicating that the research shall continue in the coming days, according to Lebanese media reports on Saturday.
The meeting between the two officials lasted less than an hour, as Hariri and Aoun discussed a new outline of distributing the portfolios among the sects and parties, in which the rotation of the sovereign portfolios was respected, excluding the Ministry of Finance, as well as it services.
