On the occasion of the 46th anniversary of Luxor Museum's opening, the Museum is hosting an exhibition for Ancient Egyptian Vizier Amenhotep-Huy tonight, and it will be lasted for a year.
Unearthed by a Spanish archeological mission working at the Vizier's tomb, the treasures include a palette from limestone that depicts prayers, part of statue, piece of a painting tool, Ushabties, and amulets, part of a statue depicts a fish, and scarabs, according to Dr. Alaa Al Menshawi, the director of the museum.
The Luxor Museum of Ancient Egyptian Arts was opened in 1975, and the final hall attached to it was opened in 2004 under the name of "Majd Tiba."
Aiming presenting the glory of the arts in Upper Egypt in different eras, the museum displays several segnificant pieces such as a statue for the young Thutmose III, a statue for Amenhotep III with god Sobek, a standing statue of Amenhotep III, and a rare palette from Quartz for Kamose, alongside King Ahmose I.
