According to a statement from the Authority, which is responsible for organizing and supervising the elections, the process of accepting presidential candidates will continue until midnight on July 18th.
The Authority will review and decide on the candidate applications until July 27th, when it will release the final list of candidates whose applications have been accepted. This list will then be submitted to the Constitutional Court for final approval.
It's important to note that according to Article 253 of the Algerian Electoral Law, a prospective candidate must secure either a list containing 600 individual signatures from elected members of municipal, provincial, or parliamentary councils, or at least 50,000 individual signatures from registered voters across at least 29 provinces.
