Albert Shafiq Appointed New Chairman of ON TV Network

The United Media Services (UMS) board of directors decided on Saturday to appoint Albert Shafiq as the new chairman of the ON TV network.

Who is ON TV Network’s new chairman?

Shafiq graduated from the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University in 1993.

He held many positions including, chairman of Al-Nahar TV network in 2016,and  Chairman of Extra News TV channel.

Moreover, he served as director of Video Cairo News Agency, through which he dealt with a large number of international satellite TV channels such as CNN, BBC, NHk, Fox News, MBC and ZDF, and then he established the agency's offices in Beirut and Iraq.

Shafiq also founded ON TV channel, the 1st independent Egyptian news channel, and assumed its presidency in 2008.
