The President of the Arab Parliament Adel Bin AbdulRahman Alasoomi, affirmed that the joint statement issued at the conclusion of the important visit of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, constitutes a road map for the resolution of chronic crises in the Arab region and the Middle East in general, based on their shared stances on a number of regional issues and crises.

Sisi's meeting with King Salman Bin Abdulaziz , and the Crown Prince prince Mohammed bin Salman, took place at a very critical time that calls for the strengthening of Arab solidarity and the intensification of coordination and ongoing consultations, notably in view of the current instability in the international system and its implications on the Arab region.

The discussions confirmed the principles of the Arab position on regional issues, primarily the Palestinian question and developments in the situation in Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Libya and Sudan.

Alasoomi emphasized that the content of the joint statement issued at the end of those discussions, made the record very clear on numerous strategic issues relating to the security and stability system in the region, especially in view of the confirmation by the leaders of the two countries- KSA and Egypt, that the security of the Gulf region is a red line that will not be allowed to be compromised.

Their rejection and condemnation of threats by the Houthi terrorist militia to the security of the region and the security of maritime navigation in the Red Sea, as well as the threats posed by Iran's nuclear and missile file, further to their agreement to protect Arab water security notably the water security of Egypt and the Sudan, and to coordinate efforts and visions on the issue of countering terrorism and to reject completely any external interference in the internal affairs of the Arab states.

Alasoomi stressed that Egypt and Saudi Arabia represent a safety valve for the protection and maintenance of the security of the Arab region and a central pillar for its stabilization.
