Discussing marriage, or shedding the light on its related problems is not a new topic, but tackling it from a new catchy perspective is the secret behind the huge success "Al Baad La Yazhab Lel Maazoun Martain" (Some People Don't Revisit the Marriage Officiant). The film presents a new experience in Egyptian cinema.

The film's climax is so satirical and hilarious, just imagine that everything is turned upside down, and all official papers are lost including your marriage document! Would you like to continue this relationship with your partner? If you have the chance to terminate your marriage, will you take this step? Should we think twice before accepting a good marriage proposal? Is love enough for backing a marriage relationship?

Hundred of questions can hit the mind and it would leave you without answers, so the film attempts just to touch upon those issues, and to bring them to the light for paving the way to their solutions and to send certain messages.

The plot of the film is so simple as it revolves around various and scattered marriage relationships. The main one is the relationship between a TV presenter, Khaled (Karim Abdel Aziz), and his wife relationship expert, Thouraya (Dina El Sherbiny). Although, they can advise people and newly married couples to deal with such a problem! They have already been involved in it! Moreover, the audience can trace very tiny and sensitive issues related to marriage and porce in a light and comic way.

Moreover, the cast of the film has deep and catchy harmony. Karim Abdel Aziz is known well for his attractive charisma, and Dina El Sherbiny succeeded in expressing her hidden talents in light-comedy releases, and nobody can forget the magical and outstanding performance that Maged El Kedwany and Bayoumi Fouad can enrich the work with it.

To know more about the film, SEE News interviewed filmmaker and producer Wael Abdullah. I had a lot of questions to ask about the film starting from the story of the film, the challenges of making such a film, the cast, and the future of cinema in the light of COVID-19.

I started with the filmmaker by asking him about the atmosphere of shooting the film and to which degree it was affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

Abdullah answered: "The process of the film's shooting was concluded in 2019, however, the post-production process took place during the first lockdown of the pandemic. Next, there were a lot of restrictions that's why we waited for a while before releasing it."

Regarding the story of the film, the producer narrated that Ayman Wattar suggested the idea by chance when he wondered what could happen if all official papers disappeared during the process of digital transformation Egypt faces nowadays. After having a couple of discussions about the topic, both decided to move it to the screen.

Abdullah asserted that the film attempts to discuss and examine all issues related to marriage and relationships to send an important message. The massage is "Choose your partner well before marriage, and think well before taking this step." He added that the film didn't present solutions for the issue, it just examined it. It is a different experience.

After that, I asked him about the cast and how they chose the actors. Abdullah immediately replied that Karim Abdel Aziz was the hero of the script, they wrote it to be suitable for him as both worked for several successful experiences such as "Nady Al Regal Al Seri." The same goes with Dina El Sherbiny as the director reflected that he teased El Sherbiny's hidden talents in comedy stuff. In addition, all guest artists welcomed participating in the film without any rejection or concern.

Finally, Abdullah told us about his upcoming projects including the first 3D film in the Middle East, Youm 13, and Saqr and Kanaria films.

The film received wide positive feedback from journalists and critics who praised the harmony between the artists and the catchy visual images of the film. Its profits surpassed EGP 11 million in a week.
