Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif condemns the Zionist’ storming of ‎Al-Aqsa Mosque

Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif condemns and denounces, in the ‎strongest terms, the Zionist terrorists’ storming of the blessed ‎Al-Aqsa Mosque, the first of the two Qiblahs (prayer directions), and the third Holy Mosque, and attacking worshipers praying ‎and performing I’tikaaf (seclusion) there. The attack that caused damage ‎to the mosque is a repeated terrorist crime that is committed ‎under global silence, and in an international community boasting international covenants that protect the places of ‎worship. These covenants are now no more than ink on ‎paper!‎

Al-Azhar also expresses its deep resentment of the repeated ‎barbaric crimes by this international terrorist entity that ‎pursues its criminal series of desecration of Islamic sanctities, ‎and its miserable attempts to evacuate the blessed Al-Aqsa ‎Mosque and impose a political fait accomlpit by force of arms. This ‎aims at changing the historical identity of Al-Quds Ash-Sharif ‎and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.‎

Al-Azhar affirms that history is the best witness to the bloody ‎crimes of the Zionists, and that people of living conscience ‎detest and abominate such terrorism. Al-Azhar also maintains ‎that we are sure Allah shall support the oppressed and ‎destroy the oppressor, and that the rights of the Palestinian ‎people shall be restored sooner or later. Besides, history shall ‎never forget the Zionist entity, or their supporters, nor ‎those who remain silent about their crimes. Such silence is an ‎inhumane and immoral stance.‎
