Al Ahly win Basketball National League after Defeating Ittihad

Al Ahly’s basketball teams have won the National League title following their victory over rivals Ittihad of Alexandria and Sporting SC.

The Red Devils managed to earn a narrow 68-66 win over Ittihad in the league final on Tuesday.

Ittihad were the dominant side for the majority of the game after coming out on top in the first three quarters.

However, Al Ahly managed to turn the game on in its head with a dramatic comeback in the fourth quarter with a score of 48-45 to secure the title.

The Reds lost the first game 81 – 71, but with the U16 team winning bother of their encounters against Ittihad, Al Ahly sealed the win.

Al Ahly have now won the National League title for the sixth time in the club’s history and for the first time since 2016.

Meanwhile, the Reds’ women’s basketball team have also the Women’s Egypt Basketball League for the fifth consecutive time.
