On Sunday, Al Ahly announced signing Al Dakhlia's goalkeeper Mahmoud El Zonfouly for 6 months on loan due to the injury of the Red Devils' first goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy.
El Shenawy will be sidelined for six months after sustaining a shoulder injury during Egypt's match against Cape Verde in 2023 AFCON group stage.
El Shenawy traveled to Germany to undergo an urgent surgery which ended successfully, and the player will start the treatment program soon.
