Al-Ahly club's treasury recovered with $4 million, the value of winning the CAF Champions League title in its last edition, following the victory over Esperance of Tunisia in the final match with a clean goal.
CAF officials transferred the full amount of $4 million into Al-Ahly’s account, after African Union officials confirmed that the amount would be disbursed in the second half of this month of July, which happened during the past hours.
Al-Ahly coach Marcel Kohler decided to rely on the substitute players in the Al-Aluminum match in the 32nd round of the Egyptian Cup, in order to rest the main players and give them a chance to breathe before the important and fateful Pyramids match in the process of defending the league shield.
