Al Ahly officials are rejecting the idea of letting go of striker Mohamed Sherif during the current winter transfer window, despite receiving offers to leave the Red Castle, most notably from Al Ittihad Alexandria.
Although Mohamed Sherif has recently lost his starting position with Al Ahly to new signing Marwan Osman, the club is determined to keep him.
Al Ahly is adamant about retaining Sherif despite being close to signing a foreign striker during the current winter transfer window. Angolan striker Eltsen Camoes, currently playing for Norwegian club Tromsø, is considered the strongest candidate to bolster Al Ahly's ranks.
Al Ahly officials believe that keeping Sherif is crucial for the team, which is participating in numerous tournaments and needs him alongside Marwan Osman and the new foreign striker.
