Al Ahly has agreed to sell young forward Hamza Abdel Karim to FC Barcelona after the Spanish side met the club’s revised financial demands, reviving negotiations that had stalled in recent days due to disagreements over valuation.

Talks between the two clubs resumed after Barcelona increased its financial offer to secure the services of the promising attacker during the upcoming January transfer window. Sources inside Al Ahly said the Spanish club responded to firm pressure from the Cairo-based side, leading to renewed discussions over the past 48 hours.

Al Ahly had previously rejected an initial offer worth $1 million, which included a six-month loan period and a 10 percent sell-on clause if the player was signed permanently. The Egyptian club insisted on a higher valuation, demanding $2.5 million for a permanent transfer and a 15 percent share of any future resale. Barcelona later raised its proposal to $2 million while agreeing to increase the resale percentage to 15 percent, a compromise that Al Ahly ultimately accepted.

The agreement was also influenced by strong pressure from the player and his family, who pushed for the move in order to fulfill his ambition of joining one of Europe’s biggest clubs. Club officials acknowledged this factor while stressing that the final deal protects Al Ahly’s financial and sporting interests.

Under the terms of the deal, Al Ahly is also set to receive performance-based bonuses of up to $300,000 during the loan period, depending on the number of goals the player scores or contributes to.
