As part of the country's strategy to cope with the global food crisis, Ahlan Ramadan exhibitions have been opened by Egypt's authorities at Nasr City and other locations throughout the country, with the aim of providing various food commodities at reduced prices before the holy month.
In that context, Egypt's Minister of Trade and Industry, Nevin Gamea, said that the main object of Ahlan Ramadan, running from March 24 until April 1, is to provide people with essential food products at a number of competing food establishments, saying, "So that Egyptians can get their food at affordable prices."
It's worth mentioning that all products and food commodities of Ahlan Ramadan will be provided at prices lower than their counterparts in other markets by at least 20% and up to 30%.
