Cairo international airport received on Sunday the first Kuwaiti air flight after a year hiatus, due to Kuwait's precautionary measures to confront the spread of COVID-19.
The Kuwaiti cabinet approved the return of direct flight with some countries, including Egypt, where a specific percentage of local and Egyptian airlines was determined.
Kuwaiti airports will receive slightly less than 11,000 Egyptians per week following this decision
On Saturday, Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport received the 1st Swiss Air flight after a five-year suspension.
The flight coming from Geneva was carrying 62 tourists.
Airport officials and a number of security leaders received the tourists and distributed roses and gifts to them.
