"The Guardian", a daily British newspaper, has highlighted the latest studies on the agenda of the "Cop 27" climate summit currently being held in Sharm El-Sheikh, which indicate that the climate crisis sweeping the world casts a heavy shadow of concern on the economy of African countries.

The newspaper pointed out that the African continent, according to that study, will incur heavy losses due to climatic problems, which may lead to a 64 percent decline in GDP in all countries of the brown continent during the current century.

The article notes that 54 African countries constitute 15 percent of the world's population, but contribute less than four percent to global warming, while China contributes 27 percent, the United States 15 percent, and other countries the European Union 17 percent.
