Actor Rory Sykes dies in Los Angeles fires

Entrepreneur Shelley Sykes, mother of Australian actor Rory Sykes, announced his death following the devastating fires that hit Los Angeles in the past few days.

Sykes posted a post on her personal account on the social networking site x explaining the details of her son's death.

The Australian entrepreneur talked about the last hours of her son Rory Sykes, who suffered from cerebral palsy. Sykes said on social media that she and her son live on a 17-acre property in Malibu, a coastal city in Los Angeles County.

She added, "Rory's feet started to swell because of the heat, and he couldn't walk well, and he had problems with his stomach, so he didn't want to be far from the bathroom, so he said, 'Mom, go, I'll stay.'"
