The Egyptian actor Mohamed Abdel Halim died on Saturday at the age of 78, according to the Actors Syndicate.
The artist, Mounir Makram, a member of the Syndicate, announced the death of Halim via "Facebook" where he published his picture and commented on it by saying: "God is Everlasting… the death of the artist Mohamed Abdel Halim."
He confirmed that death was natural, and said: "The artist left our world, and his death is natural."
It is noteworthy that Abdel Halim excelled in performing secondary roles in various dramas, and participated in many television series, plays, and films.
His artistic career began in the late 70s when director Abdel Rahman al-Khamisi chose him to participate in his film “Flower of Violet” in 1977. Among his most important works are “Doumo Fi Eyoun Wakiha” Tears in Rude Eyes, “Sheikh Al Arab Hammam," and others.
