Parliament Deputy Speaker Mohamed Abou El-Enein praised on Sunday the influential role played by President Abdel Fattah Sisi during the 30th June Revolution.

Abou El-Enein also asserted that Sisi was the first one who exposed himself to danger for the sake of Egypt and its people, and the Egyptian army was the guardian protector of the Egyptian 30th June Revolution.

During his participation in the activities of the 32nd International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) under the title: “The Citizenship Contract and its Impact on Achieving Social & Global Peace,” he expressed that the revolution broke all planned plots against the Egyptian state, including forming a shelter for the terrorists in Sinai.

Therefore, the Deputy Speaker said that the 30th June Revolution was a point of departure towards a new phase in the state. One of the features of the new Egypt is the National Strategy of Human Rights which enhances  the file of human rights in Egypt.

He added that the concept of citizenship improved greatly as 28% of parliamentary members are women, and 50% of the parliament members are youth. In addition, a Christian judge was appointed as the head of the Supreme Constitutional Court.

In the same context, the Deputy Speaker denied the attitude by several international media platforms in reflecting a wrong image about Egypt, and creating a negative stereotype about the life in the state.

Moreover, Abou El-Enein said that lawmakers are always working on adopting new laws for confronting everyone who is engaged in any plans against Egypt and its stability. His statement was a response to a question about the role of the parliament against the digital terrorism phenomenon.

Finally, he underscored that there are negative, destructive waves that target the brains of youth in Arab and Muslim worlds to control them in a war without a weapon which should be faced fiercely.
