Abou El-Enein Hails 'Deep', 'Historic' Relations Btw Egypt, Uzbekistan

Parliament Deputy Speaker, MP Mohamed Abou El-Enein hailed 'deep' and 'historic' relations between Egypt and Uzbekistan, stressing that they have witnessed a great breakthrough following President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s visit to the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, in 2018.

This came during Abou El-Enein's meeting with the Uzbek Minister of Tourism, Ozodbek Ahmadovich Nazarbekov, in his office in Cairo this morning.

Moreover, MP underlined the importance of the presidential diplomacy adopted by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to bridge views on international issues and enhance economic, commercial, and cultural cooperation between the Egyptian and Uzbek peoples.

Furthermore, Abou El-Enein reviewed the major national projects that took place during President Sisi's term, especially in the fields of culture and tourism development.

In this regard, he explained the importance of exchanging tourism experiences between the two sides, especially in the field of hospitality and hotel management, as well as the importance of organizing activities in the two countries that befit distinguished relations between Presidents Sisi and Mirziyoyev.

In addition, the Parliament deputy speaker and the Uzbek Minister discussed ways to enhance the tourist movement coming from Uzbekistan to Egypt, especially in coastal destinations such as Hurghada, Sharm El-Sheikh, Marsa Alam, and Marsa Matrouh.

He also asked Uzbek Minister to inspect new archaeological discoveries and visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), which houses more than 100,000 artifacts.

Abou El-Enein also highlighted the interest of international entities such as fashion houses and concert contractors in broadcasting their events from Egyptian temples, as they know the importance of this civilization.

Moreover, he praised the Uzbek minister as the most important singer in Central Asia, who presented many of his works in Arabic.

On his part, Nazarbekov expressed his happiness to meet Abou El-Enein, describing him as one of the most key experts in the field of economy and conveyed to him the greetings of President Mirziyoyev.

He also affirmed the importance of the achievements made during President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's term, which represent hope for Egyptian youth to benefit from all these projects now and in the future.

Nazarbekov also added that Uzbek people are interested in ancient Egyptian history, noting that the Islamic monuments of Uzbekistan are strongly present in Fatimid and Mamluk eras, especially the Nilometer that was built by Al-Farghani in Manial El-Rawdha, as well as the Uzbek neighborhood and garden.

Furthermore, the Uzbek minister said that President Mirziyoyev's visit to Egypt is an opportunity to sign more agreements to enhance cooperation in the cultural and tourism sectors, as well as in the field of media and news exchange.

The Uzbek minister granted the shield of friendship to MP Abou El-Enein and invited him to visit Tashkent to discuss opportunities for cooperation between the Egyptian and Uzbek sides.

During the meeting, Stefano Ricci's concert on the 50th anniversary of the Italian Fashion House, which was broadcast from the Temple of Hatshepsut, was shown.

Moreover, a number of the Uzbek minister's songs were also shown, as he sang many albums in Arabic, especially to save the Syrian people from the effects of the devastating earthquake that occurred recently.

It is worth mentioning that, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will pay an official visit to Cairo this evening, which will last for two days. 

During his visit, Uzbek President will meet with Sisi, the business and economic community in Egypt, as well as the Uzbek community in Cairo.
