FBI Foils Plot to Kidnap Michigan Gov.

On Thursday, six men were accused of plotting to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, according to a federal criminal complaint, CNN reported.

Adam Fox, Barry Croft, Tai Garbin, Caleb Franks, Daniel Harris and Brandon Caserta from Michigan are accused of plotting to kidnap Whitmer.

The FBI noticed a group of inpiduals on social media who were discussing a drastic banishment of some government officials and law enforcement agents, according to the criminal complaint.

According to the complaint, "Croft and Fox agreed through electronic communications to bring others to join them while committing violent actions against several state governments ."

The court documents stated that the FBI recruited a secret informant to travel to Dublin, Ohio, on June 6 to meet with Croft, Fox and about 13 others.

By June 14, a second secret agent confirmed that Fox got introduced to the leader of the militia group and that they met in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

On June 20, Fox, Garbin and others met to discuss "plans to attack the Michigan State Capitol, confronting first responders to law enforcement, and use" Molotov"to destroy police vehicles."
