Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, addressed, Monday, the detection of a new variant of Omicron in the UK.
Abdel Ghaffar told TV Host Sayed Ali that the World Health Organization is still studying the new strain, especially after reporting an increase in the number of cases.
During his phone interview, the official added that the sector of protection is cooperating with the Ministry of Health to be ready for any new variant of diseases, asserting that any required regulations will be taken.
He concluded that the WHO declared the end of the Corona pandemic, but the virus is still alive.
