At least eight people were injured on Wednesday near a transit station in North Philadelphia, police said.
A 71-year-old man was listed in critical condition after being hit in the stomach and multiple times in the legs near the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority station in Olney neighborhood.
Another young man was injured in the back, two others were wounded in the legs, and the rest were wounded in the thigh, stomach, and arms.
Police stated that a person was taken in custody, who was found with two firearms adding, that it was unclear whether the confiscated firearms were used in what was described as “very brazen" shooting.
