A severe heat wave has hit Mexico since mid-April, the third this year, leaving 8 people dead, according to what the Mexican government announced, explaining that seven of the victims died from heatstroke and the eighth from dehydration.
Three were killed in the state of Veracruz in the east of the country, two were killed in the state of Quintana Roo in the southeast, two others in Sonora in the north and one in Oaxaca in the south.
In Mexico, the temperature this week reached 35 degrees Celsius.
