On Thursday, a chemical leak occurred at a food processing plant in Hall County, Georgia, US. The accident caused the death of six people. On the other hand, at least 15 injuries were reported.
The accident of nitrogen leak happened around 10 am. at Prime Pak Foods and it was reported as an explosion, according to officials.
During the press conference, authorities announced that five people died immediately in the accident scene and another one died later in the hospital.
Moreover, 10 people were taken to the hospital, three of them were in critical condition.
Regarding the main cause of the accident, the Chief of the Hall County Fire Department Division Zach Brackett described, “It was a leak of unknown cause that has occurred in the system here,” adding, “We still have a lot of information we’re trying to gather from the scene.”
