On Wednesday, the Ukrainian emergency service announced saving 52 people from the flooding areas in Kherson.
More than 800 people and 170 units of the State Emergency Service are involved in the rescue operations in the Kherson region.
Ukrainian Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin said, Tuesday, that more than 17,000 people were evacuated from flooded areas after the destruction of the Kakhovka dam.
Kostin said on social media: "Over 40,000 people are in danger of being flooded. Ukrainian authorities are evacuating over 17,000 people,"
He added that more than 25,000 people should be evacuated from areas nearby the Dnipro River.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister (FM) Dmytro Kuleba condemned the destruction of Nova Kakhovka dam in Kherson city.
