5 Healthy Iced Coffee Recipes to Be Enjoyed during Heat Wave

There is no doubt that this week is the hottest one this summer especially with the announced heat wave. One of the best way to cool down, during the heat wave, is to enjoy a glass of iced coffee? So, here are 5 healthy iced coffee recipes to be enjoyed during the heat wave.

1. Caramel Frappuccino

• Ingredients:

 For the Caramel:

− 15 pitted dates.

− 3-6 tablespoons of hot water.

 For the Frappuccino:

− 16 standard sized skimmed milk ice cubes.

− 2 cups of cold brew coffee.

− 3-5 tablespoons of caramel.

• Instructions:

 For the Caramel:

− Add the pitted dates to a food processor or blender before pulsing until small bits are formed.

− Add the hot water while the blender is on till a smooth paste is formed.

 For the Caramel Frappuccino:

− Add the milk ice cubes and cold brew coffee to a blender and blend till smooth.

− Add the caramel one tablespoon at a time and blend till smooth and creamy.

− Serve the caramel Frappuccino in two tall glasses and Enjoy!

− Store the leftover caramel in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

2. Vanilla Iced Coffee

• Ingredients:

− ½ a cup of ice.

− 1 cup of strong brewed coffee.

− ½ a cup of skimmed milk or any milk of you choice.

− 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract.

− 2 tablespoons of stevia or any zero-calorie sweetener.

− 1 cup of water.

• Instructions:

− For a simple vanilla syrup, combine the stevia and water in a saucepan over medium heat and stir till the stevia is dissolved. Let the mixture cool completely before stirring in the vanilla extract then set aside to cool.

− In a jug, pour the coffee over the ice before mixing the milk in. Stir in the syrup and adjust to taste.

− Finally, serve in a tall glass and Enjoy!

3. Iced Coconut latte

• Ingredients:

− 1 teaspoon of coconut oil.

− 2 cups of chilled coffee.

− 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

− 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder.

− 1 cup of coconut milk.

• Instructions:

− Fill an ice cube tray with the coconut milk and freeze overnight.

− Add the chilled coffee, coconut oil, vanilla extract and cocoa powder to a blender and blend till well combined.

− In a serving glass, pour the mixture over the coconut milk cubes and stir before serving. Enjoy!

4. Cinnamon Iced Coffee

• Ingredients:

− ½ a cup of brewed coffee.

− ½ a cup of skimmed milk or any milk of your choice.

− 1 tablespoon of honey (Adjust to taste).

− ¼ of a teaspoon of cinnamon (Adjust to taste).

• Instructions:

− Add the coffee, skimmed milk, honey and cinnamon to a blender and blend till well combined.

− In the serving glass, pour the mixture over some ice and enjoy.

5. Iced Matcha Latte

• Ingredients:

− 1 ½ cups of skimmed milk or any milk of your choice.

− 1 ½ teaspoons of matcha green tea powder.

− 2 teaspoons of honey.

− A splash of vanilla extract.

• Instructions:

− In a blender, add the skimmed milk, matcha green tea powder, honey and vanilla extract before blending until well combined and smooth.

− In a serving glass, pour the mixture over some ice and Enjoy!
