In a tragic accident in the Kirov region of central Russia, four individuals have lost their lives following the crash of a Mi-2 helicopter operated by air ambulance services.
According to a statement from Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, reported by RIA Novosti, the incident occurred in a forested area close to the village of Belinki.
Thankfully, no patients were on board then, as the helicopter was not in active medical transport.
Authorities have begun investigations to uncover the details and possible causes behind the crash.
The Mi-2 helicopter, widely used in medical, agricultural, and transport operations, has a record of safety, though occasional technical issues have affected its operational history.
