The security services in Sohag arrested 4 people for for illegal excavation of antiquities.
Information and investigations from the “Public Security - Tourism and Antiquities Police” sectors, in coordination with the Sohag Security Directorate, confirmed that a person along with three others residing in Sohag Governorate possessed antiquities inside a banana refrigerator.
Upon conducting the initial inspection, it was revealed that all the seized items and coins were antiques, dating back to the ancient Greco-Roman era.
