Luxor is set to host the 3rd Green Economy Business Conference and Exhibit at the Steigenberger Nile Palace Hotel on June 8 and 9, 2024. This event is part of the "Inclusive Green Growth in Egypt" (IGGE) project, which aims to support green and circular economic growth through a market system development approach.

Building on the success of last year's conference, which attracted over 1,400 visitors and 70 exhibitors, this year's event will spotlight the pivotal role of green innovation, circular business models, and climate-friendly investments in promoting inclusive green growth. It also aims to catalyze market linkages and cluster building among various market players, thereby creating the largest green market exhibit that connects consumers with green firms.

The Green Business Expo will feature multiple tracks, including:

Exhibit of Green Firms and SMEs: Approximately 100 green firms and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will showcase and promote their products and services. These exhibitors will cater to a diverse audience, including farmers, industrial facilities, individual consumers, and hotels. Firms from Luxor, Qena, and Beni Suef, operating in key value chains such as sustainable agriculture, food production, waste management, and renewable energy, will participate. The exhibit will also feature selected green firms from other governorates to enhance market linkages and collaboration opportunities.

Awareness and Linkages: The event will facilitate connections between green finance facilities, business development service providers, technical advisors, and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). There will also be presentations of market support offerings by partners, including the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, MSMEDA, IDA, IMC, and the National Bank of Egypt. These presentations will focus on climate and environment businesses and investments.

The conference and exhibit are seen as a milestone in advancing an innovative approach to greening the economy and increasing circularity. By leveraging innovation, finance, and market linkages, the event aims to strengthen green value chains and build green clusters. It will provide a significant platform for promoting green products and services and supporting SMEs in reaching a broader client base.

The 3rd Green Economy Business Conference and Exhibit promises to be a landmark event, fostering sustainable development and green innovation in the Southern Valley and beyond.
