Two men and a woman were taken to hospital following a serious attack in central-London, as they were stabbed just minutes into the New Year in North London.

Emergency medical services have quickly responded to reports of the incident at 00.34 am, taking the three victims immediately to hospital, a spokesman for the ambulance service said.

Police, firefighters and medical staff gathered at the scene of the crime.

“A Section 60 has been authorized from 0117 hours until 0600 hours by Insp HUGHES. The authority is for North Westminster. This is due to a stabbing that occurred on Edgware Road,” Westminster police announced on Twitter.

The footage shows the presence of at least three metropolitan police trucks at the scene, along with two ambulances and a fire engine, with up to ten firefighters and police officers present.

Local media reported that a woman was arrested, suspected of being linked to the stabbing attack.

This horrific attack was not the first, as British newspapers reported, in February, that Security forces in UK killed a man in southern London after he stabbed a person.

London’s Metropolitan Police confirmed the incident on its official Twitter page.

“A man has been shot by armed officers in Streatham. At this stage it is believed a number of people have been stabbed,” London’s Metropolitan Police said.
