Three civilians and 24 Taliban militants were killed and 30 civilians and 25 militants injured in fighting with government forces in two eastern provinces of Afghanistan.
According to the Afghan Ministry of Defense, nine Taliban were killed and 17 others were injured in the Alishing district in Laghman province, and 15 Taliban were slain in Nangarhar province.
During today's intense fights between Taliban and security forces in Omarzai, several people died and others were injured.
