On Tuesday, Bahrain's Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated the Bahraini on the country's Winfred Yavi victory with a gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Al Khalifa said: "We congratulate the Kingdom of Bahrain victory of a gold medal women's 3,000 metres steeplechase gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics."
The Prince added that this victory reflected the appreciation the Bahraini sports has, and the interest of King Hamad bin Essa Al Khalifa to support and develop the domain of sports in the kingdom, and enhance its international record."
On Tuesday, Bahrain's athlete Winfred Yavi brought another gold medal for Arabs after winning the women's 3,000 metres steeplechase gold medal.
Yavi spontaneously celebrated her victory after crossing the line, passing Chemutai with an explosive final sprint.
Chemutai was in tears after Yavi captured the first place and set an Olympic record of 8 minutes 52.76 seconds.
This gold medal is the second for Arab countries in the 2024 Paris Games after Algeria's Kaylia Nemour captured gold medal in Artistic Gymnastics.
